Privacy Policy
Effective October 11, 2026
This policy explains what information The Paralegal Exchange ("we," "us") collects through TheParalegalExchange.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. If you send a message through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, what you are interested in, and your message. If you sign up to be notified about merchandise, we collect your email address.
- Purchase and membership information. When you buy a guide or join the membership, the checkout is run by our payment partners, including Payhip, Stripe, and PayPal. They collect your name, email address, billing details, and payment information. We do not see or store your full card number. We receive your name, email address, and what you bought.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider, Netlify, and the services that load on our pages, such as Google Fonts, may automatically receive technical details like your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit.
Please do not include confidential case details or client information in a message to us. The contact form is not a secure way to send sensitive information.
How we use it
- to answer your messages and provide the consultations, training, and services you ask for;
- to process your orders, deliver downloads, and run your membership;
- to send receipts, account messages, and important notices about what you bought;
- to send emails about new guides, articles, and other material if you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email;
- to keep the Site secure and working properly.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the companies that help us run the business, and only as needed for them to do so. These include our payment and checkout providers (Payhip, Stripe, PayPal), our website host (Netlify), and any email service we use to send newsletters. We may also share information if the law requires it or to protect our rights. These providers have their own privacy policies.
Cookies
Our own pages do not use advertising cookies. Our checkout and payment partners may set cookies they need to process your order and keep you logged in. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though checkout may not work properly without them.
How long we keep it
We keep your information as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to meet tax and record-keeping rules, and then delete it or make it anonymous.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing emails, by writing to info@theparalegalexchange.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or other laws, and we will honor them as required. We may need to verify who you are first. Some information, such as purchase records, we may be required to keep.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards, but no website or email is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Site is meant for professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
